Although there were negative effects on the U.S. economy from the oil embargo, Iran suffered much worse economic hardship from the combination of the embargo, economic sanctions, and frozen assets.
The Panama Canal was the greatest infrastructure project the world had ever seen at the time with America paying millions. When the 48-mile-long Panama Canal officially opened in 1914, after 10 years of construction, it fulfilled a vision that had tempted people for centuries but had long seemed impossible.
But the project, which employed more than 40,000 laborers, also took immense liberties with human life. Thousands of workers were killed. According to PanCanal, it is possible that upwards of 22,000 people died building the Panama Canal. Hundreds, if not thousands, more were permanently injured.

The mission failed mainly due to inadequate and outdated machinery and the inability of the operation’s leaders to properly forecast the weather conditions that would ultimately lead to its downfall. Dumbocrats always pick the most incompetent military commanders.
The nasty, cheating Dems will do anything to get brain dead people into high government positions who they know they can control. The Dems don’t care for a president like Putin who gets rid of anybody he dislikes with radioactive polonium-210!
